I am artist and recent graduate with a BFA in Theater Arts, currently based just outside NYC. I am thrilled to have studied Costume Design, Theater and Art —all passions of mine that I grew up with — at Mason Gross School of the Arts at Rutgers University. Being in such close proximity to NYC, I was exposed to a lot of amazing art and theater starting at a very young age. Growing up, my family valued the arts and instilled that same values in me. My grandparents took me to theaters and museums and also taught me how to apply myself into art by teaching me to sew and draw.
The part I love most about this industry is going out and finding inspiration in the world. I love to travel and explore things that are unfamiliar to me in my everyday life. Pop culture is an aspect I find a lot of inspiration from. Especially the genre of horror films with its its ability to easily be very bad. Finding what makes people feel fear, make people squirm in their seat, make people gasp at a big reveal is exciting to me — especially under the lens of horror.
Moving forward with my career, I want to be able to explore new things and be inspired by the world around me. I want to find people and places that challenge me, that push me to think outside the normal realm of creating. I want the work I produce to evoke visceral reactions, and push boundaries of comfortability. The things that excite me about art and media are what I want to be able to explore in my work.
